Hello all,
This year we are lucky enough to have the opportunity to take part in the Yorkshire Schools Dance Festival event held at York University on Sunday 18th November.
This is a wonderful event that pulls schools, colleges and community settings from all over Yorkshire together for a non-competitive festival celebrating the children’s dance talents in an impressive setting!
There will be around 350 dancers performing on each day. There’ll be a great range of ages, styles and abilities. Each group will perform a 5 minute dance piece in response to the 2018 festival theme ‘Changes’. Again, it’s not a competition – it’s a chance for children and young people to shine. The performance begins at 3pm with an anticipated finish time of 5.10pm.
If you would like to come and support our school, tickets can be bought online via the Festival webpage: www.yorkshireschoolsdancefestival.co.uk. They are priced at £7 for adults and £6 for children. The event often sells out so please make sure you get your tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment, There are also a limited number of festival hoodies available to purchase ahead of the weekend.
We do hope you can join us – it’s going to be a fantastic weekend! If you’re on social media, you can follow/like the Festival via @yorksdancefest.
