People say that adverts lie… But how well can they do this?

Think of something in your house which is very old and clearly worth NOTHING! It can be an old piece of furniture, a battered toy, a book that is out of date or a ‘past-its-sell-by’ item of food.

You need to write an advert for this thing! Think of ways of describing it which make it sound really, really attractive. E.g Don’t call it ‘old and battered’, but describe it as ‘well-worn and much loved’!

Try to include either a picture or a drawing of the object.

Imagine that your life depends on selling this object on e-Bay! Make that advert good!
