This week your homework is connected to our visit to the National Mining Museum.

You have to find out about coal. What is it? Describe it, use your senses.  Where does coal come from?  What is or was it used for? What role did children have in coal mines in Britain? Anything else you want to tell me. Include a labelled diagram in your homework.
