This week your homework is to write a Christmas poem to enter in the school poetry competition.
We have been working on poetry at school this week, so you can follow that idea if you wish. Remember the rules of writing are different for poetry and you need to start a new line with a capital letter. Write your poem in lines, you can use verses too if you like. Use your line guide to keep it neat.
Do not do this in your homework book this time; bring it in a piece of paper, remember to use your best joined writing and make sure it is beautifully presented with pictures or decorations. Do not use felt pens for decorating. Put your name at the end of your poem. Let your imagination go, but also use observation skills. Have fun!
