This week your homework is based on poetry. I want you to choose a poem you like and write it out in your very best handwriting. Remember to follow the poetry rules of starting a new line on a new line. The first word on a line needs to start with a capital letter; the final word on the line ends with a comma.
The poem must be at least 8 lines long. Draw a picture to go with the poem, then learn it off by heart.
The class will then listen to the poems you have learnt. When you learn it, practise with suitable expression, so we will enjoy listening and understand what it is about from the way you recite it. The class will judge how well you have learnt it and recite it.
