This half term we are working on a topic called ’Sowing and Growing’. During  this topic,  we will be introducing the idea of sowing and growing our own food from seeds. In science, we will carry out investigations into what plants need to grow, and we will be planting bean and cress seeds. We will be developing our scientific skills through observing the seeds carefully and recording the changes we see. We will think about what makes a fair test, and use ICT to record our findings.

We will also be learning about algorithms in ICT, and finding out how to create instructions for a process.

In art we will be looking at how plant and vegetables are represented by artists, and in particular we will be looking at the work of Beatrix Potter.
