We starting off our week with a visit to the Theatre to watch the Princess and the Pea. We had a great time!

Year 1

In Literacy the Year 1 children have been writing about their favourite part of the princess and the pea play and giving a reason why. We used the connective ‘because’ in our writing.

In Maths we have been focusing on money and time. We have been learning to add different value coins together. For example: 5p+2p+2p+1p=

We have also been practising to tell the time to the hour. We enjoyed playing the Wolf Game

Reception

In phonics this week we have introduced the letter sounds: ‘n’ and ‘m’. We have been looking at rhyme too. In guided reading this week we have been practising to sound out words and blend them together using the letters we have learned so far. Can you sound out these words: pat / nap / sat / tip / mat?
