This week our activities have been based around our number of the week ‘6’. We have been learning about Minibeasts with 6 legs. Year 1’s have been research minibeasts and writing fact files. Reception have enjoyed lots of craft activities based on insects.

On Tuesday we enjoyed an Autumn Walk around Naburn. We identified different leaves and discussed the changes that take place during this time of the year. 

In Maths Reception have been learning to recognise ‘doubles’ and have been playing dominoes to help with this. They have also been doing lots of activities based on the number 6.  Year 1 have been focusing on doubling sums. E.g. , 6+6=12, 8+8=16. Click here to try a doubling game.
