Year 3/4 have had a very busy term. We have been learning the days of the week, with an action rhyme to help them remember the order. See if your child can remember which body part corresponds to each day of the week? We have also been learning how to ask each other when our birthdays are and answer that question, which we then turned into a bar graph and used this data to write simple French sentences. We have been listening to lots of French stories and using our French phonic knowledge to help with our reading skills.
As Easter fast approaches we have also visited the Euroclub Schools website and started to look at Easter traditions in France. I challenged the children to find out why fish and bells are important at Easter time in France. Please feel free to help your child with this challenge. I look forward to hearing back from them next week.
