Last night Lorien Birch and Josephine Lewis represented our school at the annual public speaking competition.  It was held at the Merchant Adventurers Hall in York before an audience of over 100 people which included parents, teachers, the civic party and members of the York Civic Trust.  We are delighted to say that the girls walked away with first prize with the judges awarding them 100% (the first time this has ever been achieved)!  The standard of their presentation was outstanding; they really were a credit to our school and their parents.  They are due to be interviewed on BBC radio York today so keep your radio tuned into the Elly Fiorentini show from 4pm!    A big thank you to Mrs Birch who worked so hard with the children in preparing such a magnificent presentation.  Well done!
