In Year 2 we have been learning all about shape. We had lots of fun outside when we went on a shape hunt (instead of a bear hunt!). We found lots of 2D and 3D shapes and sorted them in different ways. We played a describing game and used words like ‘faces’ and ‘vertices’.

We carried out some investigations into the properties of 3D shapes, and we had a go at making some using sweets and cocktail sticks!

We also learned all about symmetry. We made symmetrical shapes with our friends…
