Rec/Y1 update…

This week has been the final week of our ‘Animal Allsorts’ topic.

Year 1 have been creating Animal fact files, with the help of non-fiction books and the internet.

In Maths both Reception and Year 1 have been focusing on ordering Days of the Week and Months of the Year. Year 1’s have also been telling the time to the nearest quarter of an hour as well as learning about 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 turns. DSCN7408A couple of weeks ago Reception were very excited and amazed when they watched Year 3/4 re-enacting a battle on the playground, displaying impressive shields. Reception have enjoyed making their own shields this week!
