Last session the children in Y5/6 tested their geographical knowledge by trying to identify all the countries bordering France. They were then introduced to the french names for these countries and practised saying them to each other.

Following on from that the girls and boys used laptops, chrome books and ipads to access child-friendly websites with a variety of information about France and french culture. They chose interesting snippets of information and began presenting them in a number of different ways in their books to be completed next session.

Later in the year we hope to have a French/languages day. I have challenged the children to research famous french people, with a view to dressing up as them on the day. Perhaps you can help them find an interesting character?
