Week beginning 6th October 2014

To kick start our new mini topic ‘Who Am I’ we have all enjoyed looking at our baby photographs and trying to guess who is who!

Reception

This week Reception have been learning how to write simple words to form sentences. They have made their own ‘My History’ books. Look out for them in the classroom.

In Maths Reception have been focusing on naming and describing 2D shapes. At home see if you can find any of these shapes: circles / squares / rectangles / triangles / diamonds / semi-circles.

 

 

 

Year 1

This week Year 1 have begun to look at poetry. We have been practising reciting the poem ‘Who Am I’. This poem cleverly describes the wolf in the story The Little Red Riding Hood. We have been learning how to use expression in our voice to create excitement and interest.
